Andrew Walker’s Acting Career
Andrew Walker was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada in 1979 to a school administrator and a librarian. He has a sister, Jenimay, who is an actress and model.
He did not show a major interest in acting as a child, although his sister Jenimay was frequently working on new projects and roles in the acting world.
Andrew attended Vanier College where he used to play football, later receiving a full-ride scholarship to Boston College for volleyball. He committed to Boston College but had to return home due to tearing his anterior cruciate ligament which ultimately ended up finishing his sports career.
When back home in Montreal, Andrew started his acting career. His first role was as the lead for the television series “Student Bodies” which ran from 1996 to 1997.
After wrapping up filming, he went on to take on other roles such as the lead for “Back to Sherwood” and “Radio Active” from 1998 to 2000. He eventually made the decision to try out the Hollywood entertainment scene full-time, and almost immediately landed the series lead for the television shows, “Maybe It’s Me” and later “Sabrina the Teenage Witch”.
He worked on a number of roles throughout the early 2000s, before being featured in the 2007 Lifetime film, “Abducted: Fugitive for Love”. The show was a hit among the female audience and he ended up having a large fan base after the movie was aired.
Andrew went on to guest star in a number of shows including “ER”, “CSI: NY”, “CSI: Miami”, “Without a Trace”, “Reba” and even “The Big Bang Theory”.
His first Hallmark movie was in 2012 called “ A Bride for Christmas”, later “A Dream of Christmas” and in 2017, he starred in six more Hallmark films including “Dashing Through The Snow”, “Love Struck Cafe”, “Appetite For Love”, “Date With Love”, “Love on Ice” and “Bridal wave”. Clearly, Andrew was highly sought after for the Christmas/Romance genre.
By 2019, Andrew Walker had already starred in a total of 19 movies for Hallmark. He seems to have slowed down on acting ever since, but he still lives in Los Angeles so he might go back to it at some point!
