Daniel Craig’s Style Has Inspired Many Tutorials
Years of playing the suave James Bond have put Daniel Craig in the spotlight, which is a shame because he keeps his personal life so private. Even his marriage to his longtime partner Rachel Weisz came as a surprise to the public. Regardless of this though, Daniel has proved time and time again that he is just as stylish as James Bond; and you will find many style guides on the internet that teach you how to dress like him.
For instance, Tom Ford is responsible for most of Bond’s suits on set ever since Quantum of Solace. Daniel’s street style is more casual, but still impeccable. Daniel Craig first became James Bond in 2006 when he appeared in Casino Royale. He has made five Bond movies to date, with the final one yet to be released. Speaking about the challenges of playing a character that so many other actors already have, Daniel has said, “Clearly he’s suave and sophisticated, but I realized he couldn’t be that at the beginning. I had this chance to start over and say, ‘Who is this character?’ Unless it was something based in reality, I couldn’t figure out how to play it. To say, ‘The name’s Bond, James Bond’ … how do you do that? It’s got to mean something or otherwise it’s just a repeat of what someone else has done. I wanted to find the emotional heart.”
Daniel Often Rocks Designer Spectacles in Public
Both the spectacles and the sunglasses that Daniel Craig wears in his daily life, as well as onscreen as James Bond, increase in popularity almost overnight. Daniel often chooses these glasses himself; and they are usually by, again, Tom Ford; but he wears some other brands as well. For instance, one of the designs he has worn on the red carpet is the Lunor A6 246 HVD 02 Eyeglasses. The sunglasses he wears most often are Tom Ford’s Andrew, and they certainly make him look like Bond in real life too.
For the latest Bond film, No Time To Die, Daniel actually handpicked the sunglasses that James Bond would wear! There is more than one pair that he wears on set though – there is an entire collection by Barton Perreira that was selected for the film. Barton Perrreria is an independent eye-wear maker from Los Angeles, and the glasses it offers are handmade in Japan. The frames in this collection include Joe and Norton – both worn by Daniel Craig himself – and Courtier, which is worn by Billy Magnussen. The collection itself is currently being sold as a limited edition. The key features of this edition are that all the frames come in a 007 box, and have the 007 logo engraved at the temple as well! Each frame retails for about four hundred dollars.
