Rina is known for using her social media platforms to promote products for companies that she collaborates with, including her Nasty Gal range, Rina Lipa X Nasty Gal. Following in Dua’s footsteps, Rina has been involved in modeling. Rina is Dua’s biggest fan too, how sweet!
Rina has attended the same theatre school as her sister – Sylvia Young, alongside completing A-levels in media, psychology, and drama.
The success doesn’t end there, though. Bearing in mind he’s only 14, this is impressive, but you might have expected that seeing as though he is the brother of rising star Dua Lipa and he has been pictured with famous YouTuber Miniminter.
It is not known what school Gjin attends, but it’s safe to say that he’s popular amongst social media audiences.
Dua’s Identity Struggle Growing Up
While Dua was growing up, she had a struggle with her identity because she wanted to be called anything else but her own name. She wanted a regular name that didn’t stand out to other people, one like Hannah, Ella or something similar to that.
Dua’s name suggestion came from her late grandmother, Dua meaning love in Albanian. She has spoken on how she feels about her name in an interview saying:
“Now I’m proud of it. Now I am. But when I was growing up all I wanted was to be called Hannah, Sarah, Ella… anything normal. Because with Dua you had to explain: I’m from Kosovo.”
In the interview Dua spoke on the matter of how people at school used to react to pictures of her parents. Here’s what she said:
“Boys at school would say: ‘Your mum’s really hot.’ And the girls would say: ‘Your dad’s so fit.’ Now I find it funny, but as a kid, you didn’t want to be different. It made me blush.”
Dua went on to reveal that her mother married the first man she fell in love with (Dua’s father), and she discussed how this meant that her parent’s had high expectations from her when she was growing up. In the end, Dua decided to make her life what she wanted, following her own rules while still trying to make her parents proud.
