Born in New Jersey, musician, producer, songwriter, actor, and author Ice T has been seen with quite a few luxury cars since he shot to fame as a rapper in the early ‘80s.
Ice-T, more formally known as Tracy Lauren Marrow, has owned many cars throughout his career. He seems to own around 6 cars, although he is constantly changing it up by selling and purchasing different vehicles.
The Law & Order: SVU star is no stranger to a luxury car or two, so let’s take a deeper look into his longstanding history with cars and the collection he continues to grow.
Luxury Never Dies
Since starring on a reality show with his wife Coco Austin (born Nicole Austin) called Ice Loves Coco (2011-2013), they have spoken about how their fans wanted to see more of their house that was being built at the time of the show.
On their short-lived talk show Ice & Coco (2015) the couple shared a glimpse into their finished mansion:
In the clip they show their garage full of their cars at the time. You can see a red Range Rover, a white Rolls Royce Ghost, and a Fisker Karma sports sedan at first glance, before Ice reveals that there are three more vehicles stored underneath.
Check out another video from an Instagram post in February of 2020 of his red Bentley Continental GT: (profanity warning)
In the post he nicknames the car his ‘Murder-Red Bentley’, plus he reveals that “I’m actually about to let this go” for a newer blue 2020 Continental GT edition.
In April of 2020, his original red Bentley GT was still up for grabs as the rapper advertised it on Twitter.
He has modified the car quite a bit over the years. Just some customizations include a candy-apple red paint job, black accents, an Onyx body kit, and a Hammann wing.
Apart from Coco’s blue Range Rover featured in the Instagram post, you may have also spotted his Rolls Royce Ghost in the background.
Not Just Royces & Bentleys
Ice isn’t just about the big cars, and he’s known for also going for some smaller, sleeker models.
An electric luxury model from Karma Automotive has been a feature in his collection. The company makes highly energy efficient vehicles, and they won 2020 Luxury Green Car of the Year in the Green Car Journal.
As a big fan of personalizing his vehicles, Ice has owned a Nissan GT-R at some point, although it’s not clear if he still possesses the supercar. He beefed up the sleek white color with some rich red accents.
After letting go of his ‘Murder-Red’ Bentley, Ice still has his red and black Mclaren 720S which is worth around $300,000.
Ice and the high-end supercar made headlines in 2018 when he neglected to pay the toll on the George Washington Bridge on his way to New York City. The 720S was seen on the back of a tow-truck after the incident.
Car Fanatic From The Beginning
In 2017, the self-professed Original Gangster shared a throwback showing his fans one of his first luxury car purchases. He captioned the photo: “TBT One of the First Rolls Royces in the hood.. Street money. Before you ever heard of me….. Check the Plates.”
Following his rise to fame, thanks to his RIAA certified gold debut album Rhyme Pays (1987), Ice T has never held back when showing off his sweet rides.
In the height of his fame he often posed on top of his cars, emphasizing his growing wealth.
As part of the promotion of one of his singles on his 1989 studio album, The Iceberg/Freedom of Speech… Just Watch What You Say!, catch Ice posing on top of his red BMW E28 M5.
