Ever wondered if the former Disney star is left handed?
Zac Efron is not left handed. His dominant hand is his right one, which is made obvious by the fact that he always signs autographs with his right hand. Being right handed is much more common than being left handed, so it is no surprise that Zac falls into this wider category.
Zac Efron is Right Handed
Zac Efron is not left handed as some fans may have wondered – he is right handed just like most of the population. Zac has been in the spotlight almost all his life, he started off his career as a child actor – his work with Disney Channel came much later. He made his acting debut on the TV show Firefly. His first regular role was as Cameron Bale on The WB’s Summerland. 2005 was more or less the turning point for Zac’s acting career – Summerland was canceled, his first feature film The Derby Stallion was released, and he landed the leading role in High School Musical.
Soon after he starred in High School Musical Zac began playing some guest roles on other Disney shows like The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, as well as non-Disney shows like NCIS and CSI: Miami. Another thing that happened soon after Zac starred in High School Musical was that he became a bona fide teen idol – being compared to the likes of Cary Grant and receiving titles such as “the new American heart-throb.”
Zac Always Signs Autographs with his Right Hand
Wanting to know if your favorite celebrity is left handed is understandable given the fact that only about 10% of the world’s population is left handed. Zac is not a part of this though – he is right handed and can often be seen signing autographs with his right hand.
Zac has been keen on meeting fans and signing autographs ever since his High School Musical days when he initially became famous. Zac has often spoken about how grateful he is for the experience High School Musical gave him. “I think those movies were like, I don’t know, a couple thousand bucks and we were so happy. We were just friends doing what we loved and I think that was what my affirmation was, that if it’s this much fun and people like it that much then we must be providing them some sort of service,” he has said, adding on another occasion, “It’s hard to compare them to anything. Man, the first time you fall into a rhythm with something where you can just be yourself and you’re immersed with people you love… the cast was incredible.”
That being said, it has been difficult for Zac to shake off the squeaky clean image that playing Troy Bolton gave him. He has thus been doing more mature films recently – ranging from Neighbors and Dirty Grandpa to The Greatest Showman and Baywatch, but he remains humble and still enjoys meeting his fans!
