American actor and ‘beloved living meme’, Jeff Goldblum is one man whose fame is truly transcendental. He starred in the immensely popular ‘Jurassic Park’ films as well as epic science fiction film ‘Independence Day’, but does he do commercials?
Hollywood actor Jeff Goldblum has starred in multiple advertising campaigns and has featured in commercials for Apple, Toyota, Currys PC World, the Irish Lottery, Menulog and Jeep, among others. He plays the role of Brad Bellflower in the extensive Apartment.com advertising campaign.
Read on to learn more about the various commercials Goldblum has added his magic to.
Throwback Apple
Back in the late-90s, Goldblum starred in a series of short commercials for Apple to promote the iMac, iBook and iMovie feature. Goldblum’s first ever commercials, the Apple ads are a fascinating glimpse into Apple’s early technology.
In a 2017 interview with The Today Show in Australia, Goldblum claimed “Steve Jobs called me up a few decades ago to be the voice of Apple. That was early on, and I did not know it was Steve Jobs.” It’s not clear whether this proposal concerned Goldblum becoming the voice of Siri or an ongoing spokesperson for the company, but sadly the collaboration never came to fruition.
Goldblum’s Apple ads would eventually spawn the Drunk Jeff Goldblum parody videos, in which the Apple commercials were slowed down to make Goldblum’s speech sound slurred and, well, drunk.
The internet didn’t stop with just Apple and the concept has since been applied to Goldblum’s Paypal commercials, TV appearances and even some acting scenes.

Brad Bellflower and Apartments.com
Jeff Goldblum began working with apartments.com in 2015, in the role of ambitious Brad Bellflower, the inventor of the ‘apartminternet’. Brad Bellflower is the “lofty tech CEO-type who’s brimming with confidence, ambition, and just the right amount of delusion”, and Goldblum’s quirky and enduring popularity made him the ideal Brad.
The CEO of CoStar Group Inc., which owns Apartments.com said that Goldblum “loved the script, and it’s very humorous” explaining that Goldblum got so into character that some of his improvised lines were better than the script.
Goldblum has featured across the company’s socials and streaming spaces, in addition to TV, leading viewers on a ‘futuristic journey’ to finding apartments, with the company’s vice-president Patrick Dodson affirming, “we are 100% loving Jeff”.
According to Dodson, “we love the fact that there’s such a following behind Goldblum. When the ads come on TV, people really relate to him. His own stardom has helped us a bunch”.
It seems that the ads have increased Goldblum’s popularity too. When asked which roles he tends to get recognized for, Goldblum replied, “As you might expect, it’s the ones that sold a lot of tickets that I hear about a lot,” he confirms. “I get ‘Jurassic Park’ and ‘Independence Day.’ But a lot of people say, ‘I saw you on the Apartments.com commercials!’”
Super Bowl Appearances
The Super Bowl is a prime programming spot for advertisers and in high demand, known for being a “massively competitive arena for the world of advertising”. Jeff Goldblum has appeared in not one, but two Super Bowl commercials.
In 2016, he starred in his role of Brad Bellflower, in a commercial for Apartments.com. The ad saw Goldblum commandeer a grand piano as it was being moved up into an apartment, whilst showing off his incredible musical talents.
His second appearance came two years later, in 2018, when Goldblum paid homage to his role in the Jurassic Park mega series, in an ad for Jeep.
Dubbed a ‘pop culture rockstar’ Goldblum’s quirky persona and incredible acting range are sure to be on our TV screens for years to come.
