Comedian and host of “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast, Joe Rogan is known for being one of the world’s wealthiest comedians. Where does the podcaster live when he’s not live on air?
Joe Rogan lives in Austin, Texas. He purchased a $14.4 million mansion in the Lake Austin area in 2020; however, the podcast host also owns two homes in Bell Canyon, California.
Joe Rogan has a massive amount of wealth and has purchased some gorgeous properties across the United States. How did he become the wealthy man that he is today?
House in Austin, Texas
Variety reports that Joe Rogan purchased a mansion in the Lake Austin region of Texas, which was one of the area’s most significant real estate transactions in recent history. Joe Rogan had been considering moving to Texas with his family for a while, and the real estate deal coincided with his exclusive $100 million contract with Spotify.
Everything’s bigger in Texas, and that includes Joe Rogan’s home, which clocks in at a whopping 10,890 square feet with eight bedrooms and ten bathrooms.
The Lake Austin neighborhood is popular with celebrity clientele, and area residents include haircare billionaire John Paul DeJoria and Sandra Bullock.
As Joe Rogan purchased his home in an off-market deal, little else is known about the property, but we did manage to snag a few interesting details about the property for curious fans. The property was renovated in a more modern farmhouse design style by the property’s previous owner, architectural designer Benjamin Wood.
The four-acre property sits right on Lake Austin with gorgeous views of the lake and is secluded from the public eye by an imposing gate and long, winding driveway. Two attached garages on the property mean plenty of room for Joe Rogan’s collection of cars.
Inside, the home is completely modernized, with top-of-the-line appliances for Joe Rogan to enjoy, and outside, there is a sprawling backyard and a deck on the lake. The property also features a saltwater pool and a solarium.
Bell Canyon, California Properties
In addition to his home in Lake Austin, Joe Rogan also owns properties in Bell Canyon, California.
Although decidedly suburban, Bell Canyon is just a short drive away from neighborhoods full of celebrities like Calabasas and Hidden Hills and boasts celebrity residents of its own such as Shaquille O’Neal, Trey Songz, Niecy Nash, and Alyssa Milano.
The Dirt gave all the dirt and information on Joe Rogan’s properties in Bell Canyon, namely his 2018 purchase of an unprecedented $4.95 million mansion in the area.
The real estate deal was unprecedented because typically, homes in the area sell for around $1 to $2.5 million — Joe Rogan purchased the pricey property for full asking price within months of the property hitting the market.
Joe Rogan also owns another home in Bell Canyon, which he purchased in 2003; the original property is around a five-minute drive from the property that he purchased in 2018.
Joe Rogan’s new home is a sprawling 7,573-square-feet of living space, with a spa and an inground trampoline — the latter of which is most likely for Joe Rogan’s children, although we wouldn’t be surprised to see the podcast host try it out!
The property also has six bedrooms, but the home’s opulent interiors are what is truly eye-catching about the mansion. It features open-concept living spaces with light gray hardwood throughout the home.
An interestingly elegant detail about the property is that it features a wine cellar with a tasting area for wine aficionados.
As for Joe Rogan’s other property in the area, it might not be in his possession for much longer; he originally purchased the property for $2.2 million in 2003, and it has hit the market in 2009, then again in 2011, and finally in 2017.
The 2017 asking price for Joe Rogan’s first Bell Canyon mansion was approximately $3 million, so if you’re looking to live in a gorgeous California estate previously owned by the host of “The Joe Rogan Experience,” and have $3 million to spare, the opportunity is there.
Joe Rogan is one of the most successful men in comedy, with a net worth of $100 million. Before his career as a podcast host, Joe Rogan was a UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) interviewer.
