As well as Kim Kardashian being a millionaire businesswoman and social media guru, her father, Robert Kardashian, was a very successful criminal defense lawyer. Being that Robert took an intellectual career path, one is bound to question Kim’s own standard of education.
Kim Kardashian does not have a degree. However, the celebrity did graduate from college and later studied to be a lawyer.
Read more below about Kim’s education and her aspirations to follow in her father’s footsteps.
Marymount High School
Kim’s current highest level of academia is her diploma that she received from Marymount High School in Los Angeles.
Kim can be seen in the Instagram clip below visiting her old high school 20 years on with four of her friends.
Kim did not continue onto college after graduating from high school and so does not hold a degree. However, the reality television star does have ambitions to become a lawyer in the future and has begun further schooling in preparation.
Kim To Take The Bar
Although Kim neither has a college degree, nor is she studying for one, she is studying to become a lawyer. She is said to study part-time, 18 hours a week, with two personal tutors, and plans to take the bar in 2022.
Kim is taking the less common route into becoming a lawyer by not going to law school and getting a degree, but instead doing a four-year long apprenticeship with The State Bar of California.
“In California, as well as Virginia, Vermont, and Washington, aspiring lawyers can pass the bar exam without a law degree through a process called reading the law,” W magazine explains.
Kim has said that deciding whether or not to do the course was difficult, being that she has four young children at home and a business to run, but her passion for justice is what eventually drove her to do it. “I just felt like the system could be so different, and I wanted to fight to fix it, and if I knew more, I could do more,” she told Vogue.
Do The Other Kardashians Have Degrees?
As mentioned above, Kim Kardashian’s father, Robert Kardashian, was a defense attorney during his lifetime and most famously defended close friend O.J. Simpson in Simpson’s 1995 murder trial.
Robert not only earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of South California, where he met Simpson, but also has a Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Diego School of Law.
Even so, most of the Kardashians, including Robert’s first wife and Kim’s mother, Kris Jenner, never went to college; making them proof that you do not need a degree to make your millions, although it does help.
“Momager” Kris Jenner attended Clairemont High School in San Diego where she gained her high school diploma. Later, in an interview Kris revealed that after being divorced by her late ex-husband Robert Kardashian, she couldn’t even afford a tomato, making her the only one that can truly call herself self-made.
Both Kendell and Kylie also graduated from high school, both via homeschooling, but never went on to get degrees. Kourtney Kardashian, on the other hand, does have a degree.
She attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas and two years into her degree transferred to Univeristy of Arizona. Here, she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts.
Meanwhile, brother, Rob Kardashian, had ambitions of becoming a lawyer, and despite not following through with this dream he did in fact graduate from University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business in 2009.
However, younger sister Khloé Kardashian struggled at school and needed special tutoring at Alexandria Academy. She eventually graduated from high school but never made it to college.
So, it is clear that, other than Robert, none of the Kardashians were particularly academic, but they do seem to know a lot about business and how to please an audience, which has shown to be more than enough in making their millions.
