There is no doubt that you might have seen Megan Fox in a few music videos over the last few decades. In fact, you might have seen her when she starred in Eminem’s “Love the Way You Lie” music video, featuring Rihanna, with Dominic Monaghan.
Megan Fox can sing, however, it is very rare that you can convince her to do it, especially on the air of MTV. She often appears in music videos and other similar media for her acting talents, but you will not find any big hits of Megan Fox singing any time soon.
You can watch her most recent featured role in Machine Gun Kelly’s music video, “Bloody Valentine,” using the YouTube link below.
An Early Interest in Music
Megan Fox had an early interest in music, as she started taking singing lessons at the age of 5.
Around this time, Megan Fox had a deep appreciation for “The Wizard of Oz,” and for about a year, she wanted her mom to refer to her as “Dorothy.” When her mom explained to her that Dorothy was an actress not a real person, Megan Fox decided that she wanted to be an actress.
From then on, Megan Fox wanted to be an actress – not a singer. Still, she was involved in the entertainment industry from a young age.
Still, she has expanded her reach from her modeling and acting career in recent years. For instance, she can be seen singing alongside Machine Gun Kelly in her recent Instagram post, found using the Instagram link below.
Still, singing is more of a hobby than a publicized talent for Megan Fox.
Megan Fox’s Perspective on Being in the Spotlight
From a young age, Megan Fox wanted to be the center of attention. Fox has described her childhood as lonely, particularly after her parents got divorced when she was three years old.
Since her sister was 13 years older than she was, she would find creative ways to fill her time. For a while, Fox told GQ, she would put on shows in her family’s living room – not because she wanted to perform, but because she always wanted everyone’s attention to be focused on her.
Eventually, the attention was not as fulfilling as she believed it to be. After being heavily sexualized in the entertainment industry, Fox reached a “breaking point” in 2009.
She did not want attention anymore. Every movie, project, and feature she worked on related to her physical appearance and the pressure was too much to handle.
Fox says that she had a “genuine psychological breakdown where [she] wanted just nothing to do.” During this time, she did not want to be seen, photographed, put in magazines, walk carpets, or seen in public at all because of the anxiety that she was feeling.
Fox has mentioned past struggles with her mental health, and there’s no question that the suffocating pressure of the entertainment industry, particularly Hollywood, can be a lot to bear.
Still, she has overcome these obstacles. Fox proceeded from this time in her life to become an advocate for females, and for herself.
Megan Fox is much more than the surface-level content that people see – she is strong, loves being a mother, and has made a substantial impact on the acting and modeling industry.
