In the film Dude, Where’s My Car? Jennifer Garner’s character was a twin and the two actresses looked a lot alike. So was the other actress her twin?
Jennifer Garner does not have a twin. She is the middle child in a family with three daughters. She does look like she could be twins with her two sisters, however, none of them share the same birthday. Garner also looks like she could be the twin of her daughter Violet despite their 33-year age gap.
You can read more below about Jennifer Garner’s real-life sisters, how her daughters are starting to look like her twins, and that time she played a twin in Dude, Where’s My Car?
Jennifer Garner’s Sisters
Jennifer Garner was born to her parents William and Patricia in Houston, Texas but her family moved to Charleston, West Virginia where she grew up. She was the middle sister of the three children.
While she isn’t a twin, Jenn has two sisters who are just as gorgeous as she is and also very similar in their looks. Her older sister is named Melissa and her younger sister is Susannah.
In 2015, Garner did a photoshoot with Southern Living that featured Jenn, her sisters, and her mother. The magazine quoted Garner saying that “The only thing my sisters and I fought about growing up was clothes.”
When she was talking about the photoshoot with The Today Show, Garner actually burst into tears about it. She said it’s such a great thing to be able to get her mom and sisters all dolled up for a photoshoot and that doing it was really special for her.
Their entire family is very close, however, Jennifer has recalled that while they were growing up, she was your classic middle child. In that same Southern Living article mentioned above, Garner said that being the middle child is the most defining role she has ever had.
In 2018, she posted a photo of herself and her two sisters in a sailboat together in celebration of the fact that she is the middle child. Garner has even stated in interviews that if it wasn’t for her older sister’s achievements in high school, she would never have pursued the career that she did.
Melissa Garner was the valedictorian and got 1600 on her SATs and Jenn felt she needed to do something to live up to the bar her older sister had set. That translated into her becoming an A-list celebrity.

Garner’s Daughters
On June 29, 2005, Jennifer Garner married her Daredevil co-star, Ben Affleck. Then on December 1, 2005, she gave birth to their first child, Violet Affleck.
That actually means that Garner was already four months pregnant with Violet. That may also explain why the two had a tiny ceremony officiated by Victor Garber in Turks & Caicos.
Either way, her daughter has grown up fast and looks like a spinning image of Jenn. In fact, in April of 2020 when the two were out for a walk together, many media outlets were quick to point out that they looked like twins.
That has to be the nicest compliment to the 13 Going on 30 star who is 33 years older than her daughter.
Garner has another daughter named Seraphina and a son named Samuel. Whether or not Seraphina looks like Garner’s twin is another story because Garner tends to keep pictures of her kids off of her social media.
Jennifer Garner’s Dude, Where’s My Car? Twin
You may not remember this, but before Jennifer Garner played the famous Sidney Bristow in Alias, she had a minor role in the 2000 comedy film Dude, Where’s My Car? Her character named Wanda was the twin sister of Wilma.
Wilma and Wanda were the girlfriends of Ashton Kutcher and Sean William Scott’s characters. The film was the sixth movie that Garner ever appeared in and was one of the roles that led her towards her success today.
The characters of Wilma and Wanda were supposed to be fraternal twins not identical, although the two do look quite alike. The actress who played Garner’s twin was Marla Sokoloff.
Sokoloff played Gia Mahan in Full House and was also in The Practice. In December of 2020, Hello! Magazine reported that Garner had shared a photo celebrating the 20-year anniversary of Dude, Where’s My Car?
Garner joked that her on-screen twin had just turned 40 and wondered if that made her 40 too. In reality, Garner is 8 years older than Sokoloff although she doesn’t look like it.
