‘Ocean Eyes’ songstress, Billie Eilish, is one of the most iconic pop stars of her era. After producing a chart-topping album entitled When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, released in 2019, Eilish amassed a fortune of $51 million as of April 2020 by the age of 18. In 2019, it was reported that Eilish had bought her dream car, a Dodge Challenger, but how many cars does she own?
Billie Eilish owns one car that she was gifted for her 17th birthday. If you’ve seen her Instagram, you might be thinking she owns more than one car, as she’s often pictured alongside luxury cars including a now-deleted picture of a blue McLaren.
Read more below about Billie Eilish’s car and what else she spends her money on.
Matte Black Dodge Challenger
Billie Eilish is the owner of a matte black Dodge Challenger which is worth $29k, although the songstress didn’t pay for the car herself.
When she was gifted the car, Billie had only obtained her learner’s permit but not a driving licence meaning that she always required her mom to be present while she was driving.
In the same year, it was reported that Billie had gained her licence, allowing her to drive freely in the car with no restraints.
Of her new car Billie said, “Dude, I love it so much. I’ve been obsessed with it since I was like 12.”
Dodge Challengers have been being produced since the late 1960s. As of 2020, there have been three generations of this car, with the first generation released in the fall of 1969 for the model year 1970.
Upon its original release, the Challenger was available in two versions, the Challenger and the Challenger R/T, and three models, two-door hardtop, and Special Edition two-door hardtop, or convertible.
According to How Stuff Works, out of the two versions, the Challenger R/T440 is a car that would “definitely” get you noticed.
Featuring “beefed suspension” and 15 inch 60-series tires driving this car would be a breeze, offering a smooth ride and optimal control.
The second generation of Dodge Challengers—first released in 1978, marks a turning point in the production of this car, as the company redesigned many aspects of its original Challenger to optimise the performance and overall aesthetical appearance of the motor.
On its interior, the second generation Challengers featured smaller engines than the first generation, while still featuring the same hard top as seen in the first generation.
The second generation doesn’t seem to be as popular as the first generation, with Autolist describing it as a “disappointment” because it was essentially a re-branded Mitsubishi Galant Lambda which didn’t sit well with initial fans of the Challenger.
The third generation Challenger debuted in 2008, with reports of the company being “swamped” with orders. They took details from potential buyers at the time, revealing, “It’s higher than the number we had for the [Dodge] Charger.”
Automobile Catalog said that the third generation is “offered with hardtop coupe body shapes,” and it’s representative of a speedy sportscar range.
The third-generation cars came equipped with various engines from 3518cc to 8382cc. So overall, the company made a comeback with their third generation Challengers after facing criticism on their previous generation of Challenger.
Jewelry, Fashion and Nails
By now, you’re probably wondering how Billie Eilish spends her money. Three words: jewelry, fashion and nails.
Have you seen her? She’s always drowning in her signature jewelery that’s made up of layered necklaces, lots of rings and she’s always styled in something that’s pretty whacky, so that’s where her money goes.
And if there’s one thing that’s for sure, Billie absolutely loves her claws and she’s always sporting a pair of long luminous colored nails.
