One of Hollywood’s favorite entertainers, Adam Sandler, hasn’t really been in the spotlight when it comes to celeb goss. Adam’s been in the movie industry for 30 years and not once have we heard any gossip about his love life. This brings up a question: Is Adam Sandler married?
Adam Sandler is married. The actor met his wife Jackie Sandler seventeen years ago. They’ve been in love ever since. Sandler and his wife are one of the few happily married couples left in Hollywood.
Now that you’re intrigued to find out who stole the heart of this successful actor, let’s look more closely.
Dating Miss Right
The beginning of the new millennium brought lots of success to Adam Sandler. Sure, his career went downhill when he got fired from Saturday Night Live. There were rumors he had been pulling pranks in the SNL office. The authors decided it was time for Adam to go. Luckily, the upcoming movies like “Happy Gilmore”, “The Waterboy”, and “Black Sheep” made an impressive change. Sandler’s name popped up on the radar.
The year 1999 brought “Big Daddy” to our cinemas and another turning point in Sandler’s life. Meeting his future wife was a true Hollywood story. The couple met on the set of “Big Daddy”. She was a model/ actress striving to succeed in the movie industry, like any other girl in Hollywood.
Her name was Jackie Titone and she played a waitress in the aforementioned movie. Her role was minor, but little did she know her role in Adam’s heart will be the biggest of her career. The movie premiered in June, as well as Adam and Jackie as a couple. It was all thanks to Adam’s friend, actor Rob Schneider. Rob, the comedian himself, introduced the two. He already knew Jackie from working on his movie “Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo”. Schneider put in some good words about Jackie and the rest is history. Since then, Jackie had an appearance in several Adam’s movies including: “50 First Dates”, “Grown Ups”, “Grown Ups 2” and “Hotel Transylvania”. These two managed to mix business and pleasure to their personal satisfaction.
The beginning of their relationship was linked to a comedy, but the rest had nothing to laugh about. The prettier half of the couple, Jackie of course, took things seriously. The year was 2000, and the lovely model/actress made a giant change: Raised a Christian, she converted to Judaism. Adam was raised Jewish and always so open about his religion. His passion inspired Jackie to convert.
The process happened three years before she walked down the aisle. The couple got engaged a year before their wedding, in June 2002. A yearlong engagement was enough time to plan one terrific celebrity wedding.
The Honeymooners
The date was saved. The venue was checked. Adam and Jackie decided on an outdoor ceremony on Dick Clark’s oceanfront Malibu estate. June 22nd, 2003 was the first of many happy days for Adam and Jacqueline. The couple tied the knot and wowed on eternal love in front of their closest friends, 400 of them.
Many celebrities, Adam’s friends, were a part of the ceremony. Jennifer Aniston, Rob Schneider, and Dustin Hoffman were some of them. This was the first and to this day the only, marriage for both Adam and Jackie.
It wouldn’t be a comedian’s wedding without something to laugh about. Adam’s best man was his dog, Meatball! The tuxedo-dressed bulldog had a yarmulke on his head and almost stole the show. Of course, Jackie, like any bride, was in the center of attention. As Meatball preceded her down the aisle, carrying her wedding band on his back, Jackie was a vision in white in her Carolina Herrera wedding gown. The couple shared just a few photos of their wedding featuring the charming Jackie, goofy Adam, and Meatball.
Nutty, like always, Adam Sandler confirmed the nuptials by posting on his page:
”Sandler got married…WOOPITY DOO!”
Indeed, woopity doo! Hollywood managed to put together a couple who shies away from the spotlight and values real ideals.
Happily Ever After
The Sandler’s have been happily in love for seventeen years. Each of their couple photos is proof of their love. The way these two look at each other is a rarity in Hollywood. Adam and Jackie always had a simple life.
The first major milestone of their marriage came three years after the wedding. On May 6th, 2006 Jackie gave birth to their first child. The couple named the baby girl Sadie Madison Sandler. Two years later, Sadie was promoted to big sister. On November 2nd, 2008, Jackie gave birth to a baby girl, Sunny Madeline.
“Jackie and Adam had a beautiful baby girl, Sunny Madeline on November 2,” said Sandler on his official page.
Sandler was always a joker. Like a true comedian he is, Adam reflected on his wife’s second pregnancy. The way he explained it to his first daughter, Sadie, made the audience at Jay Leno’s bursting with laughter.
“Mommy’s not like bad sick. She just has something growing in her that’s eventually gonna shoot out her vagina and take half your toys.” Reported People magazine.
Sandler is still a comic, both on and off camera. He’s a devoted dad who tries his best to raise Sadie and Sunny.
“I often slip into costume as the lead character in whatever bedtime story I am reading,” he said. “This is a little weird because my daughters love Disney princesses. But you would be surprised at how good I look in a ball gown.” reports Made for Mums.
It looks like Adam Sandler has his ducks in a row. He’s a highly successful actor/ producer/ comedian/ screenwriter. He’s a beloved father and a loving husband. Is there something this guy can’t do? Sandler’s career is at a peak, but his personal life doesn’t fall far behind. With a beautiful wife, a pair of amazing kids, and a scandal-free career it’s not that hard to enjoy life. Far away from the gossips, the Sandler’s lead a perfectly normal life. They teach kids what matters the most and try to raise them to be good human beings.
Looks like falling in love was the best move both Adam and Jackie ever made. Thank God for the movie “Big Daddy”!
