Addison Rae, the TikTok superstar, YouTuber, influencer, dancer, and so much more. Beloved by her fans around the world, Addison’s rise to fame has been fast and furious. However, as we get to learn more and more about her, people keep asking, is Addison Rae vegan?
Addison Rae is not vegan, although it does seem she is conscious about what she eats, the products she uses, and where her food comes from. Nevertheless, it does seem as though she’s partial to her favorite take out, Chick-Fil-A.
Today, we’re going to dive into Addison Rae’s relationship with veganism, how she got to where she is today, and so much more! Let’s go!
Addison Rae and Veganism
While Addison Rae is not strictly vegan, since she can be seen eating Chick-Fil-A and other takeout brands in some of her videos, that doesn’t mean that she’s against the veganism message.
Back in 2020, Addison released her own makeup brand that came under the name ‘Item Beauty, which was to be a cruelty-free, vegan-friendly makeup brand. To quote from the post she wrote on her website detailing the product launch, she said;
“Hey y’all. An ‘item’ is an individual thing, and so is beauty. It’s not about comparing yourself to others, but owning your look and loving what you see in the mirror. I created ITEM Beauty as a healthy dose of self-love we could all use. Since my mom was a makeup artist, I’ve always been comfortable with beauty products and seen it as a fun way to express myself. ITEM Beauty is all about embracing your imperfections, not masking anything, because they all play a part in what makes you truly unique,”
Good stuff, Addison!
The line was very well received by fans, averaging around 4.9 out of 5.0 reviews and plenty of shining reviews from critics. While there are some exceptions to the vegan rule, such as some blush shades, etc., overall, Addison has hit the mark!
Who is Addison Rae?
There are few content creators who rise in the style that Addison did. At only 20 years old, she’s one of the most popular TikTok stars in the world; she boasts an incredible 76 million followers on the app, as well as 35.5m on her Instagram.
Friends with fellow TikToks, including Charli D’Amelio, and part of the Hype House collective, which garner billions of views on their videos every single month, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Addison is one of the highest-earning creators on the platform.
One Forbes article estimated her to be worth over $5 million, although that has certainly risen since the article was posted, and with her podcast, which she runs with her mother, and the estimated $15,000 she gets per sponsored Instagram post, her net worth is only rising.
So, where did she come from?
Back in July 2019, Addison posted her first-ever TikTok. The app was still rather new and was growing its user base, and Addison thought it would be funny to post a video of her lip syncing Love Me Like You Mean It, a track sung by Kelsea Ballerini.
The TikTok had massive traction and soon went viral, and as of February 2020, it sits over the 18 million view mark.
It took just three months for Addison to grow to over a million followers, which is when she decided to drop out of college to pursue a full-time career on the app. And she wasn’t just making this decision lightly.
She had a plan to create content and to grow, and it’s very clear to see that that is what she did. With her family by her side, supporting her and also creating content, such as the weekly podcast she does with her mother that’s signed as a Spotify exclusive, she has made plenty of connections along the way.
In January 2020, she signed with WME to start her singing career and partnered with the huge fashion brand American Eagle a few months later. Her fame is also expanding her out of the TikTok world and into mainstream media as she’ll appear and star in the 1999 remake of the hit teen movie, He’s All That, rebranded to ‘She’s All That.’
If you’re a fan of Addison, then don’t worry. Still so young, it’s clear that she’s still got so much more to give and so many more places to go. We’re excited to see what she does next!
