Jack Black has been a major Hollywood star since the turn of the millennium, featuring in movies such as “Shallow Hal”, “King Kong” and “Jumanji.” What is the actor and singer’s shoe size?
There is no definitive answer as to Jack Black’s shoe size, as he has not made the information public. His height, 5’6″ or 168cm, at least gives us some idea, with the average size being for somebody of his height being 9.5 to 10.5. Jack Black
Thomas Jacob Black was born on August 28, 1969, in Santa Monica, California. His parents, Thomas William Black and Judith Love Cohen were both satellite engineers; Judith contributed to the Hubble Space Telescope.
Black has three half-siblings from his mother’s previous relationship. Judith was born Jewish and Thomas Sr converted to Judaism. Black attended Hebrew school in his youth.
When he was 10, his parents divorced and Thomas Sr stopped practicing Judaism. He was enrolled at the Poseidon School, a private school for students who have struggled in conventional schooling, and started studying drama at the Crossroads School, a preparatory school in Santa Monica.
He attended UCLA, studying drama, but left in his sophomore year to pursue his career in entertainment. TV appearances and minor film roles provided Black with a career but his big breaks came in the early 2000s.
“Shallow Hal” provided Black with his first leading role in Hollywood in 2001 but the huge success of “School of Rock” established him as a true star. This was followed by one of his rare dramatic roles, in 2005’s “King Kong” remake, and then by the less dramatic “Kung Fu Panda” trilogy.
He has been nominated for two Golden Globes, first in 2004 for his performance in “School of Rock” and then in 2013 for his performance in “Bernie”. Though he failed to win either, there’s no reason to think he won’t one day hold an award.
Black is also a musician, the lead singer, and guitarist for comedy rock duo Tenacious D alongside Kyle Gass. The duo formed in 1994 and their first single “Tribute” has become a cult favorite.
Black’s popularity led to a movie starring him and Gass, “Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny”. Despite its mixed critical response and box office failure, Tenacious D enjoyed a highly successful tour surrounding its release.
He has also lent his distinctive voice to numerous projects in addition to “Kung Fu Panda”. He played saber-toothed tiger Zeke in “Ice Age”, voiced Slappy the Dummy in “Goosebumps” and portrayed Eddie Riggs in 2009’s heavy metal videogame “Brutal Legend”.
Black’s Shoe Size
While we can’t find any evidence of Jack Black stating his exact shoe size, we can at least make an educated guess based on his size and appearance.
Black is known to be 5’6″ or 168cm. Though shoe size can vary greatly, the average US shoe size for somebody of his height is between 9.5 and 10.5.
In photos of Jack Black, his feet appear to be proportionate to his body, so it seems likely that his feet are somewhere in the region of size 10, give or take a half size. There does not appear to be anything particularly remarkable or unusual about his feet.
In general, Black appears to predominantly wear sneakers in day to day life and at some more casual events but we have seen him wearing more traditional footwear for more formal events such as the HBO Golden Globes Party.
Until the day Black states his shoe size somewhere, perhaps in a vlog on his YouTube channel, his exact size will remain a mystery.
