Fake eyelashes, also called false eyelashes, are often used to glam up ordinary makeup looks, but does Jennifer Aniston ever wear them?
Jennifer has hardly ever been seen wearing fake eyelashes, nor have any of her makeup artists talked about using them on her. Jennifer loves mascara and it’s all she usually wears. Her makeup style is so simple though that she sometimes skips on the mascara too; tinting her eyelashes as an alternative.
Let’s look at some of Jennifer’s makeup routines.
Jennifer’s Favorite Products Include Chanel Mascara
Jennifer Aniston is often asked which products she uses the most, after all, why wouldn’t everyone want to know the secrets behind her flawless looks. Mascara is one of her favorite products overall. “If I could only have five make-up products in my make-up bag, they would be mascara, lip balm, a good lipstick – I like Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Penelope Pink – Clé de Peau Beauté concealer and a rollerball of one of my fragrances so I can reapply on the go,” she says.
Jennifer doesn’t change makeup artists often.
“The make-up artists I regularly call on are Angela Levin, Gucci Westman and Charlotte Tilbury,” she has said.
Out of these, Angela Levin, when speaking to The Cut about doing Jennifer’s makeup, spoke about the mascara she uses the most on Jen’s lashes.
“Jennifer has great lashes, the kind that when you put mascara on they really pop! My standby forever has been Chanel Inimitable Intense Mascara … we love it. I put on about three coats for strength and drama. I will curl her lashes first, using a heated lash curler to keep them lifted.”
Jennifer also has a more recent favorite mascara: the cult-favorite Better than Sex by Too Faced. She has said, “Too Faced: Better than Sex is my new favorite.”
Jennifer Sometimes Tints Her Eyelashes Instead
Even though she adores mascara, Jennifer Aniston likes to take a break from it sometimes, which further proves that wearing fake eyelashes is out of the question for her. When speaking to InStyle about some of her biggest beauty secrets, she talked about tinting her lashes instead.
“I [sometimes] hate wearing mascara, so I tint my lashes every three weeks,” she said. “I have long lashes, so I just put on a conditioning gel from Talika and curl them up with a little heated curler from Japan.”
Jennifer Has Certain Go-To Makeup Products
Jennifer doesn’t go for much drama when it comes to makeup. Her looks usually revolve around nude lipsticks, complemented with beige or brown shades on the eyes and glowy skin. This makeup ends up looking natural and subtle on her, and never over-done, especially during the day.
However, even with her minimal makeup looks, mascara is still a go-to. “I like to keep my daytime make-up really minimal. A pinky nude lip, a coat of mascara and maybe some cream blush,” she has said. Jennifer says that her beauty routine is quite simple overall; she credits facials for giving her flawless ski, and adds that she tends to use the same products over and over, otherwise.
For instance, she says, “I’ve been using the same liner for almost 15 years. You can mix anything with it.” Here, she’s talking about Estée Lauder’s Automatic Lip Pencil Duo in Fig. Other beauty staples for Jennifer include Chanel Le Blush Creme in Intonation and Bare Minerals Bareskin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation. “I don’t know what it is about this foundation,” she has said to InStyle. “Somehow the texture is super lightweight yet still gives great coverage.”
Even with nail colors, Jennifer’s favorites are more down-to-earth. “I’m not big on bright pink—for winter and fall, I go with a dark, deep Bordeaux or cabernet colors, like Tom Ford’s Bitter Bitch,” she has shared with Good Housekeeping, adding that she opts for more feminine colors for the summer; like Essie’s Mademoiselle and Limo-Scene.
Jennifer’s Credits Her Beauty to More Than Makeup
Jennifer credits her Greek genes for her beautiful skin. “My dad is 100 percent Greek; he turned 84 and he barely has a wrinkle. And neither did my grandmother, who was 95 when she died,” she has said.
She also credits her regular Transcendental Meditation Practice for giving her glowing skin, saying, “I started doing TM and that’s really changed everything. Starting your day off with that and ending with that is pretty powerful.”
Lastly, she talks about drinking lots of water! “I can never stress enough to my friends that they must do as I do … hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!”
