Lady Gaga can buy pretty much anything since she’s one of the world’s top-earning musicians. Did she splash out some of her fortune on a luxury yacht?
There’s no evidence that Lady Gaga owns a yacht. She’s been spotted celebrating her birthday on a yacht in 2019, but it hasn’t been confirmed that this vessel belongs to her.
Keep reading to learn more about Lady Gaga’s sailing adventures, and how she spends her multi-million dollar fortune.
Lady Gaga and Sailing Vessels
There’s something about yacht vacations that screams “luxury”, and celebrities simply can’t resist them. Lady Gaga isn’t as crazy about yachts as some other A-list stars, but that doesn’t mean she’s opposed to the idea of a sailing party with her friends.
Back in 2014, she was photographed boarding the luxury yacht M/Y Mercedita in Stockholm, and her French bulldog Asia was there to keep her company. The singer was celebrating the triumph of Cheek to Cheek, her collaborative album with Tony Bennett.
Lady Gaga was also spotted on a luxury yacht in 2019, while celebrating her 33rd birthday in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico with a group of friends. A source close to the singer told E! that Cabo is her “happy place” and that she was excited about getting away for a few days.
The “Poker Face” singer also enjoys taking boat rides and made quite a splash when she arrived at the 2018 Venice Film Festival in a water taxi. She also made her relationship with Michael Polansky Instagram official by sharing a photo that shows them snuggling on a boat in Miami.
Lady Gaga’s Spending Habits
Lady Gaga’s net worth has been estimated at $275 million in 2016, and several sources reported that she’s worth even more. Despite having millions of dollars at her disposal, the Grammy-winning singer never felt the need to buy a yacht – but where does her money go?
The majority of Gaga’s multi-million dollar purchases that made the headlines went towards real estate. She spent $23 million on her Malibu mansion in 2014, and Business Insider reported that it comes with a Batcave that features arcade games, a bowling alley, and a screening room!
Two years later, it’s been reported that the singer splashed out $5.25 million for a Hollywood Hills compound that once belonged to Frank Zappa. According to The Daily Mail, she also owns an NYC townhouse worth staggering $30 million.
Lady Gaga is no stranger to quirky purchases and spent $60,000 on 27 Koi fish imported from Japan. Several sources reported that she decided to make this purchase after having a dream about the fish, and wanted to watch them while recovering from hip surgery.
The singer also bought 55 pieces at an auction of Michael Jackson memorabilia, worth hundreds of thousands of dollars – if not even more. She publicly announced her purchase, and said her goal was to have these items “archived and expertly cared for”.
Long story short, Lady Gaga is no stranger to spending millions on lavish things – a yacht just doesn’t happen to be one of them.
Lady Gaga Yacht
The “Bad Romance” singer doesn’t own a yacht, but she shares her nickname with one. The Taiwanese yacht manufacturer Horizon built a yacht called Lady Gaga and delivered it to its owner in 2011.
According to Luxuo, Lady Gaga was the first motor yacht above 100 feet built for the Chinese market. It was designed by Espinosa Yacht Design, and it can accommodate up to eight people with an additional five crew members.
Lady Gaga would probably be impressed by the modern, yet classic interior of this yacht. Its lavish salon features Swarvoski ceiling lights and specious curved sofas, while its master stateroom comes with a king-size berth and amazing views.
The identity of its owner is still a mystery, and it’s unclear why they picked this name for their superyacht. We wouldn’t be surprised if the owner liked listening to Lady Gaga and partying to her biggest hits while sailing around the world.
