Several people have had different images of Tiger Woods tattooed on them. Apparently there’s an entire group of people who take their Tiger tattoos seriously. Now we know that there are Tiger Woods tattoos, but what about the man himself? Does Tiger Woods have tattoos?
Tiger Woods hasn’t got any tattoos. He also doesn’t seem to show any interest in getting any in the future. It could have to do with his Buddhist beliefs as they have guidelines regarding tattoos.
Many people get tattoos to commemorate big wins, for example, several people who have completed an Iron Man competition will often get the IM logo tattooed. Tiger has won so many competitions though, which one would he choose?
History of Tattoos
Tattooing is definitely not a new idea or fad, it’s been around for thousands of years. The reasons why people get tattoos are vast, and they have changed throughout the ages. The oldest evidence of tattoos points to the Neolithic era. Otzi the Iceman, a mummy from the 4th millennia was found in the Alps with carbon tattoos of dots and lines.
People held different beliefs about tattoos; some taking pride in them, others believing they were barbaric, and others yet used to use them on prisoners. In our lifetimes they have been seen as a form of prejudice, art, expression, and femininity.
Many people have had negative connotations with tattoos, thinking that they went hand in hand with bikers and criminals. Nowadays, Athletes, Celebrities, Police, Teachers, and everyone in between have tattoos. Not only do you not have to cover them up as much for work and other reasons, some people are using tattoos to feel more alive.
Some women use tattoos to permanently ink makeup on them, so they can reduce the time it takes to get ready each day, and to feel feminine all the time. Other women have been using them to take power back after losing a breast, or two, to breast cancer. Instead of getting implants after the removal, some are opting for beautiful designs to take the place of breasts.
Golf Tattoos
Tiger tattoos are not the only golf-related tattoos there are. There are some extraordinary artwork done for those who play the sport, or who want to memorialize someone who did. As you can see here there are some pretty amazing artists out there, and in some cases, equally amazing creative minds coming up with the designs.
The game of golf has oftentimes been thought of as perhaps a bit stuffy due to the image of golfers and outfits they wear, with many golf courses having rules about appearances. Lately, things seem to be loosing up a bit, and the golf world, or the powers that be, are starting to be more accepting of change.
Tattoos and beards are becoming more acceptable on the links. Which, for these golfers is a good thing, because they are all sporting tattoos. They might not all be on display, but they are present none the less.
World of Tiger
Perhaps because Tiger has won so many championships he wouldn’t know which one to commemorate. Or, maybe he’s waiting until retirement and will get one to commemorate the number of championships he won.
Whatever his reasons are for not having any tattoos, we know it’s not because he can’t afford to. Tiger Woods lives a luxurious lifestyle and owns several cars, a yacht, multiple homes, and many other items that some people can only dream of.
Not only do we not know his reasons, or beliefs, for not getting any tattoos, but we also don’t know what he thinks about other people getting tattoos of him. Apparently, he’s a jokester with a good sense of humor so I’m betting he laughs at some of them, especially when they have to get one due to losing a bet.
