Read more below about Floyd Mayweather’s car collection and his rise to fame.
Mayweather’s Car Collection
Floyd “Money” Mayweather is the proud owner of one of the most expensive car collections in the world. Spanning over 100 cars, he has his collection split in three – he has them distributed in LA, Vegas, and Miami.
All three of his collections primarily feature the same cars but in different colors. In LA, Mayweather can be seen driving around in black cars, in Vegas in white cars and in Miami in silver cars.
The exceptions to this rule are his two Bugatti Veyrons, a single one having the price tag of $1.7 million. Mayweather owns five Bugatti Veyrons in total. One comes in red and silver while the other is matte black with an orange trim.
His car collections have every single luxury car imaginable, and his car collection is estimated at over $39 million. You can spot multiple Ferraris, McLarens, Bugattis, Bentleys, Rolls Royces, Porsches, Mercedes’ and Lamborghinis. His car collection is so expansive that Mayweather is thought to have every Rolls Royce model currently sold.
Mayweather also instilled his love for cars in his children and bought his son a C-class coupe and his daughter two G-wagons.
Top Five Cars
Mayweather bought the supercar Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita, it is a super rare car and fits perfectly into Mayweather’s collection. Only four units of this car were ever produced, and Mayweather acquired one of them. It set him back a whopping $4.8 million, but it was worth it for such a rare car.
Other cars that could be placed in the top five are his Bugatti classics: the Chiron, Veyron, and Grand Sport. Each of them is high-end and sets him back $3.5million, $1.7million, and $1.5 million, respectively. These cars are among the fastest worldwide and can go from 0-60 in less than 2.6 seconds.
One of the most expensive cars ever built is the Pagani Huayra, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Mayweather owns this as he owns just about every luxury car. The Huayra had only 100 units produced until 2015, and it is an exclusive and limited edition car. It boasts a twin-turbo V12 engine developed by Mercedes AMG, specifically for the car.
Boxing
Mayweather started boxing in his childhood, it started off as a hobby and soon became an outlet for repressed feelings. Mayweather is a defensive boxer and in his early career became known as “pretty boy” because of his minimal scars.
He competed professionally between 1996 and 2015 and made a comeback in 2017 to fight Conor McGregor. He has won many different awards throughout different weight classes and has remained unbeaten in professional boxing. After retiring he became a sports promoter and worked with various sports websites and networks, this proved highly lucrative for him and he made millions promoting his fight in 2017.
While fast and luxury cars are a big part of Mayweather’s life, he also looks after the community around him. He founded the Floyd Mayweather Jr. Foundation and actively works to give back. During recent events with the murder of George Floyd, Mayweather stepped up and agreed to pay all of the funeral costs incurred.
Floyd “Money” Mayweather sees boxing as more than just a sport “It’s business,” he says. “It always has been. I need to put food on the table. It’s self-preservation.”
With the mindset to make money and turn huge profits it’s no wonder that Mayweather can afford the fleet of cars he has.
