Known for his cooking ability and terrifyingly brutal TV personality in equal measure, Gordon Ramsay is a British chef whose reach is international. He’s an avid car collector, but how many cars does he have?
Gordon Ramsay has an extensive transatlantic car collection but the exact number of vehicles owned by the celebrity chef is unknown. In a November 2019 YouTube video, the chef revealed his UK car collection, which featured 11 cars, whilst Motor-Vision was able to identify 26 cars Ramsay has owned, including 13 Ferraris.
Read on to learn more about Gordon Ramsey’s impressive car collection and his culinary career.
UK Collection
Though fans and car enthusiasts have been speculating for years, the extent of Gordon’s impressive car collection has remained something of a mystery.
In November 2019, however, Gordon decided to let others in on the magic and revealed his UK car collection in a YouTube video.
The collector booked out a circuit near London and took his cars for a spin, referring to them as his “babies”.
The collection included a McLaren Senna, a Porsche 918 Spyder, an Aston Martin Superleggera, and the LaFerrari Aperta.

Ferrari Fan
Though Gordon’s interested in most things with an engine, his real passion lies in collecting and driving Ferraris.
In an interview with The Official Ferrari Magazine, Gordon explained that his pursuit of perfection in work, finds another outlet in his regard for his cars: “it’s exactly the same attention to detail: every day. Layer after layer after layer. Perfection, perfection, perfection”.
Gordon’s dreams of one day owning a Ferrari began years ago when the chef was just a child. ‘Magnum P.I.’ triggered that longing and Gordon is lucky to have been able to follow up on his dream with the real thing.
He admires innovation and has said, “you have to reinterpret it and make what you do relevant to the times. Like Ferrari does with each new car”.
For Ferrari, Ramsay is one of their VIP customers and is able to get a glimpse of new models earlier than most. In September 2019, Ramsay received his Ferrari Monza SP2 delivery, launched that same month, and described sitting in the car as “holding on to 70 years of pure perfection”.
With Ferrari only making 499 units of the model, Ramsay is one of an elite crew of extreme Ferrari fans who forked out roughly £2,000,000 for the car.
His collection doesn’t stop there, and Gordon has an estimated 13 Ferraris, making it one of the largest collections in the world.
In addition to the Monza SP2, Ramsay’s collection includes the LaFerrari, LaFerrari Aperta, F12 TDF, and the 812 superfast.
His collection also includes the Ferrari 550 Maranello, which he received back in 2002 as a gift from his wife after winning a three-star Michelin Award for the first time.
Funding his Car Obsession
To have a car collection like Ramsay’s, it takes more than just sheer passion. Luckily, Ramsay is one of the highest paid chefs in the business, and has been for some time.
In 2012, Forbes named Gordon Ramsay the highest paid chef in the US, and in 2020, Forbes estimated his annual income at a hefty $70 million.
This income comes from multiple streams, but his restaurant empire is significant, and he has 15 restaurants in London alone.
Outside of the kitchen, Ramsay has become a TV star as the central figure of multiple shows, including ‘Hell’s Kitchen’, ‘Masterchef’, and ‘Gordon’s Great Escapes’. He even launched his own production company in 2016, aptly named ‘Studio Ramsay’.
If that weren’t enough, he’s also released a number of best-selling books and it’s clear his success shows no signs of slowing. It’s likely that there’ll be many more Ferraris in Gordon’s future.
