She then continued to do music solo as Beyoncé with her dad as her manager until she met Jay-Z. She has produced albums after albums and has sold more than 100 million copies. Tina Turner started singing in night clubs learning from a then established musician Turner. Her first song “A Fool in Love” in the year 1960 was a hit and got her the name, Tina Turner.

On November 26, 2019, Tina Turner turned eighty. Beyoncé praised Tina, saying she loved her for a lifetime. She paved the way and made it possible and easy for country girls to go after their dreams. Knowles was so thankful to have Tina in her life. She views her as a blessing and as a legend. She also admires how Tina Turner made her strength feminine and sexy.
Tina admits that she suffered a life-threatening stroke in 2013, and turning 80 was a miracle for her. Tina Turner said, “Yes, I am eighty. How did I think I would be at eighty? Not like this. How is this? Well, I look great, I feel great. I have gone through a major disease. So, this is having a second chance at life. I am glad to be a woman in her eighties.”

In the 50th GRAMMY Awards, which took place at The Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, in 2008, Beyoncé and the legend Tina Turner performed an emotional version of ‘Proud Mary “and “Rolling on the River.” Tina Turner had not performed in seven years before the Grammy Awards. She came out to perform Queen Bey, and it was grand and thrilling. They had the crowd so excited when they performed “Proud Mary,” which Turner had won a Grammy in 1972 for.
Turner also received a Grammy Awards as a participant on jazz icon Herbie Hancock’s surprise album of the year winner River.
At the 46th GRAMMY Awards, Beyoncé also had a moment of her life when she performed “Crazy in Love” and “Let’s go Crazy” with Prince, but her performance with Tina Turner was legendary. It was her dream come true. It was a special moment for Beyonce , almost like a passage of rights from Tina. She said, “When I was young, I loved watching her tapes, I wanted to be like her. Things that you always dream of, and you just think they are so far away like it’s never going to happen.”
While Beyonce and Tina Turner may not be related by blood. They share a bond fuelled by their love for music.
