The Harry Potter book series was filled with some pretty gnarly foods like the vomit flavor of Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans. These would not be the favorite food of the Hermione Granger actress, Emma Watson.
Emma Watson’s favorite food is Mexican. She has told interviewers that it is impossible to find good Mexican food in England, so she only eats it when across the pond in North America. Other than Mexican food, she has said that she really enjoys the Heinz baked beans with mini pork sausages.

Emma Watson Loves Mexican Food
Watson has made it no secret that she loves really good Mexican food. All the way back in 2011 when she was interviewed by Simone Kitchens at The Huffington Post, she revealed her love for Mexican food.
When Kitchens asked her “Do you have any favorite, go-to places here in New York?” Watson responded, saying “I love La Esquina. I’m obsessed with Mexican. We don’t have Mexican food in England, we just kill it. That’s one of the first things I do when I come here.” Okay so not only does Watson love Mexican cuisine, she is obsessed with it!
When she was interviewed by Marie Claire in 2013, Watson was asked what is on her go-to menu. Again her response was “Mexican food. I make a really amazing egg tortilla in the morning. It’s my special thing. I make guacamole, salsa, and scrambled eggs, and then I cook the tortilla. It’s pretty simple, really, but yummy.”
To really drive home the point that Watson loves Mexican food, she was photographed leaving a Mexican restaurant hours after landing in LA. In the photos, Watson is literally licking her lips.
Watson Loves Cooking
You know how Watson said in that one quote that England is really good at killing Mexican cuisine? Well, that just means she has to make her own! Like the Marie Claire article highlighted above, Watson cooks her own breakfast egg tortilla, but did you know it’s on her bucket list to attend culinary school?
In that same 2013 Marie Claire article, Watson was asked what is on her bucket list. Her response was “Going to Le Cordon Bleu for a year would be super bada**. I don’t like using recipes — I like to cook things I just know how to cook. I figure if I went and really learned, I would be the kind of person who could open the fridge and be like, ‘I know what I will make with this one piece of celery and this random piece of butter and this pasta.’”

Watson’s History With Baked Beans
Is there anything more English than loving baked beans? Okay, there are definitely things more English than a love for baked beans, but it is still quite English and Emma Watson seems to have a love affair with them. She has brought them up just as much as Mexican food.
In 2009, when Watson was headed for school in the US, PEOPLE asked her what she would miss most and she said “I will miss marmite, baked beans, London taxis and the rain!” Then in 2012, Nick Grimshaw from BBC Radio 1 asked Emma what her guilty pleasure was and her answer was Heinz baked beans with mini pork sausages.
In 2013, she tweeted “Girls, Baked Beans on toast and the Golden Globes. Happy happy happy.” And in 2017, when giving out advice over video chat to passersby in Grand Central Station, she was asked for her cure for a hangover. Of course, it was an English breakfast with baked beans. Maybe Emma Watson likes Mexican food so much because beans are a staple in the native cuisine.
