Kanye is never afraid to share his strangely strong opinions about the most random things, like his hatred for the color blue, for instance, so what’s his favorite food? Does he hate or love any dishes in particular?
Kanye West enjoys fast food and his favorite chain is McDonald’s; he even wrote a poem about it once! He also likes Chipotle and Wendy’s. For snacking, he enjoys Doritos, ice cream, and sour skittles, and reportedly keeps a slushie machine in his bus on every tour!

Kanye Wrote a Poem about His Love for McDonald’s
Kanye West’s favorite fast food chain is McDonald’s, according to a tweet of his, so we can reasonably assume that this is his favorite food as well, although his love for fast food extends far beyond a single burger chain. McDonald’s is special though, it is so close to Kanye’s heart that he wrote a poem about it once! The poem, called The McDonald’s Man, was published in 2016 and in a magazine where it accompanied Frank Ocean’s album Blonde.
An excerpt from Kanye’s poem is as such:
McDonald’s, damn
Them french fries look good tho
I knew the Diet Coke was jealous of the fries
I knew the McNuggets was jealous of the fries
Even the McRib was jealous of the fries
I could see it through his artificial meat eyes
In 2014, Kanye reportedly bet on one of McDonald’s rival chains, Burger King. Sources report that when he married Kim, he also bought her the rights to at least ten Burger King franchises in Europe, and he himself bought the rights to 10 Fatburger franchises in Chicago. Kanye has also referenced other fast food chains in his lyrics.
In 2016, he featured on Schoolboy Q song That Part, and rapped, “Beggars can’t be chooser, b—-, this ain’t Chipotle.” Despite the somewhat diss, this ended up providing some of the best social media marketing Chipotle has ever had. Kanye is also often spotted in Wendy’s and the Waffle House.
Kanye Doesn’t Mess around when it Comes to Snacks
Kanye loves his snacks almost as much as he apparently loves running for president of the US. Whenever he is on tour, he keeps at least two slushie machines on hand, and not just any slushie machines at that – one of them dispenses Hennessy and Coke, while the other dispenses a Grey Goose-spiked lemonade.
Kanye also has no issue spending hundreds of dollars on candy. Once, during a trip to trip to Dylan’s Candy Bar, he spent around 200 dollars on Gobstoppers, Rainbow Nerds Rope, Sour Skittles, Peachie-O’s, Sour Octopus, and some lollipops. He also loves potato chips, with his favorites being Fritos and Doritos. He references these in Weezy’s Lollipop, “Tell her friends, ‘Like Fritos, I’m trying to lay. / Tell a girl like Doritos, that’s nacho cheese.” He also really loves ice cream.
Kanye’s father, Ray West, is the founder of the Good Water Store and Cafe in Lexington Park, Maryland, which opened in 2006; and his wife Kim was once sent gift cards and a Givenchy wallet by McDonald’s after she wrote a blog post about her favorite menu items.
