The eldest Kardashian sister is praised for her strategic and simplistic take on makeup. Known for her penchant for “clean” beauty products, Kourtney approaches makeup — as she does most things these days — in a holistic manner that has earned her much respect.
Kourtney’s favorite makeup products include foundation, concealer, bronzer, mascara, lip liner, and lipstick. Occasionally, Kourtney reaches for a contouring kit but doesn’t apply it in the way it’s intended to be applied. She is a huge supporter of both of her sisters’ makeup lines.
Compared to her equally famous sisters, Kourtney’s makeup routine is of a more simple and natural nature. While she prefers having her makeup done by one of her many makeup artists, here’s what she uses to make the most of her striking Armenian features when she does her makeup herself.
Her Face
Using her fingers, Kourtney applies two shades — Honey and Almond — of Oxygenetix Foundation to her face. Still using her fingers, she applies Make Up For Ever’s Lift Concealer to her under-eye area.
Kourtney also uses a damp beautyblender to apply NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in the shade Madeleine in a natural finish. If needed, she’ll conceal any blemishes, dark spots, as well as her eye area to provide a small lift.
While she doesn’t contour too much when she does she makes use of her sister’s KKW Beauty Cream Contour. But instead of applying it directly onto her skin, she first dabs it onto the back of her hand and then applies it using a brush for a more gentle, less sharp, contour.
To complete her face she bronzes using Tarte’s Amazonian Clay Waterproof Bronzer in the shade Park Avenue Princess. She also uses this same bronzer in lieu of blush as well as for a light nose and eyelid contour.
For a slight shimmer, she dabs a little RMS Living Luminizer in the shade Champagne Glow. Naturally, when her makeup artist is in charge Kourtney insists on only certain products being used on her skin.
Her Eyes
This mother of three likes to keep her eyes simple, using only the above-mentioned bronzer as an eyeshadow before finishing them off with a generous application of Lancome’s Grandiose Mascara.
Although she seems to save the shades for special occasions, Kourtney is also a fan of The Green Palette and The Pink Palette from her collaboration with Kylie Cosmetics called Kourt x Kylie. Kourtney then fills in her brows using a classic Anastasia Beverly Hills brow pencil which she combs through her individual eyebrow hairs.
In contrast, when one of her makeup artists — Patrick Ta — is in charge of her eyes he veers towards the Dose of Colors Friendcation palette. Patrick also uses an assortment of shades from the Patrick Starrr One/Size palette and more but doesn’t always list the products used which makes it difficult to track.
Her Lips
Much like her younger sisters, Kourtney prefers a nude lip but of the pink variety. She uses both Kim and Kylie’s lip liners for different occasions but for her daytime look, she reaches for the Kylie Cosmetics Lip Liner in the shade Dolce K.
Once her lips are lined, Kourtney finishes them off using RMS’s lipstick in the shade Magic Hour to achieve a natural look. While she prefers nude lips, she’s no stranger to stepping out in a vibrant red lip either.
The celebrity loves to share her daily life with her friends, family, fans, and followers as a result her Instagram is full of glam snapshots of her applying her makeup.
Her Skin
Kourtney is well aware of the importance of skincare and as a result, has a rigorous day and night time routine. She is a firm believer in the power of face masks and often begins her makeup routine using a Root Science Detox Purifying and Clarifying Mask that she mixes herself with a spoonful of honey.
She also makes her own exfoliating lip scrub using honey, raw sugar, and coconut oil. After removing the mask and lip scrub with a muslin cloth, she will cleanse her face using Christy Kidd pads before applying a few drops of the same Barbara Sturm Hyaluronic Serum that is found in Kim Kardashian’s skincare routine too.
Next, she’ll mist Caudalie’s fine hydrating spray over her face. Kourtney finishes off her morning skincare routine with a light application of Pai Rosehip BioRegenerate facial oil and the EltaMD SPF that Bailey Sarian uses.
In her episode of Vogue’s Beauty Secrets, Kourtney describes doing her skincare as “a moment of the day where I have to myself” and admits that she looks forward to her skincare routine much more than her makeup routine.
