Whether you like her or not, you can’t deny that Melania Trump is poised, graceful, well put-together, and in possession of some undeniably striking Slovenian features. Little is known about the former model’s makeup routine and the products that make it up, but the contents of her makeup bag aren’t entirely unknown.
The former First Lady of The United States is tightlipped on what she uses to keep her face radiating a youthful glow. However, some aspects of Melania Trump’s makeup routine, such as her eye and lip makeup have been revealed by her makeup artist who has been working for her for almost two decades.
While Melania may prefer keeping her beauty secrets a secret, much like her step-daughter Ivanka Trump, her longtime makeup artist, Nicole Byrl, isn’t as secretive. Here are all of the known products used in Melania’s regular 75-minute makeup routine as well as the makeup used to create her inauguration looks.
Unfortunately, at the time of writing, nothing is known about the products Melania uses on her face. However, one look at Donald Trump’s wife’s face reveals an expert application of foundation, concealer, setting powder, blusher, bronzer, and perhaps even a smidge of highlighter.
While it is clear that Melania does wear foundation on her face, at the very least, it may be fair to say that she doesn’t enjoy or advocate for doing so. When asked what her number 1 makeup tip is during an interview with More in the past, she responded with “Never wear too much foundation because it tends to age you”.
Thankfully, much more is known about the makeup that Melania wears on her eyes. The Slovene-American businesswoman has a unique eye shape which she accentuates even more using dark eye makeup, which is a sharp contrast to the rest of her face which she keeps looking natural and neutral.
When speaking to Allure about her preferred eye makeup, Melania admits that she favors dark eyeshadows from Mac Cosmetics as “If I put it on stronger, it looks black; and lighter, it looks grey. I don’t like much sparkle on my face. I prefer stronger eyes on my face”.
For the inaugural ball, Nicole used Estee Lauder’s Pure Color Envy Defining Eye Shadow Wet/Dry in the shade Brash Bronze. She used the shade Corrupt from Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide-On Eye range which she applied on the lower and upper lash lines as well as on the waterline.
For her iconic inauguration makeup look, Nicole used Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide-On Lip Liner in the shade Cruz to line Melania’s lips and filled them in with Urban Decay’s Naked Ultra Nourishing Lipgloss in the shade Lovechild.
When Nicole did Melania’s makeup for the inaugural ball, she began lining her lips using Estee Lauder’s Double Wear Stay-in-Place Lip Pencil in the shade Rose and proceeded to fill them in using Naked Cream Vice Lipstick from Urban Decay.
When it comes to taking care of her skin, just like with her makeup routine, Melania keeps her skincare secrets to herself but reveals she always starts her day off with a healthy nutritious breakfast and believes in the power of green smoothies. However, while she does not list too many specific products, Melania has admitted that she uses a vitamin C-infused Tammy Fender tonic followed by an oxygen cream.
Nicole is a little more forthcoming on the skin care products she uses to keep Melania’s skin looking so tight and perfectly toned. Two products that are used on Melania’s skin, which are from Nicole’s own line, are the Face Lifting Water and Face Perfecting Serum.
To remove any stubborn eye makeup, she makes use of Lancome’s eye makeup remover. It also stands to reason that she still possibly uses the products from her own defunct collection of anti-aging skincare products, Melania Caviar Complexe C6, presumably Fluid Day Serum, The Luxe Moisture, The Cleansing Balm, and The Exfoliating Peel.
Despite rumors of plastic surgery circulating for many years now, Melania stands by the fact that she “did not do anything” to her face and that she is “against needles”.
